Garden advice from Keith Clouting
Viburnum x juddii
This delightful compact small to medium-sized deciduous shrub grows to only around 1.2m. In April and May it produces clusters of highly-scented blush-white flowers which open from pink buds. These are set off well by the green leaves which then take on russet hues in autumn before falling. V. x juddii grows best in full sun or partial shade in most reasonable garden soils, an excellent choice where space is limited or especially near a path where its delightful scent can be enjoyed.
