The Norfolk and Norwich Festival will soon be upon us, and I love the buzz it brings.

One event that caught my eye is called Reverse. It’s a city tour with a difference – you walk backwards, listening to a soundtrack. The festival director told me it’s extraordinary how different your view is when you go backwards. (He also stressed that health and safety was very important, and he wasn’t expecting to find people sprawled on pavements after tripping over kerbs!)

I think this could be a metaphor for life. After a turbulent and divisive few years in Britain, maybe we all need to ‘walk backwards’ for a bit, to get a fresh perspective? It beats overdosing on Twitter anyway!
