SCHOOL AND ABLE2B JOIN FORCES
Norwich School and Able2B, an organisation which helps disabled children reach their potential, are working together on a special project.
A ‘Discover Your Ability’ day will see children and young adults with a disability and the school’s pupils work in pairs to complete a challenge with the support of Able2B staff and volunteers.
The event will take place on the Norwich School lower school playing fields, and has been organised in conjunction with the school’s outreach and sports departments. it has been supported by Just4Children Charity, NANSA, Irwin Mitchell, Dyno-rod and Busseys.
The aim of the event is to help raise money to continue to develop the opportunities Able2B can offer in schools and to bring together two groups of people who may otherwise not have met and formed friendships. The organisers say that next month’s event will ‘show the community of Norfolk that, by working together and truly understanding how to work with another person’s abilities and adapt to the disability, most things can be achieved.’
