GARDENS OF DELIGHT
BRISLEY, MAY 5, AND WHISSONSETTT, MAY 19
Two gardens are open this month in support of St John Ambulance. Beck Farm, Brisley NR20 5LN, is an intensive acre of garden on the edge of Brisley Common. There is a wealth of topiary and water and bog planting around two natural ponds and plenty of spring flowering shrubs.
At The Old Rectory in Whissonsett, NR20 5TF, there are several areas to explore, some divided by cloud pruned holly, beech and yew hedges. There is a walled garden with water feature, borders and box parterre and other mixed herbaceous borders with climbing roses, clematis and quince trees.
Gardens open 12pm - 5pm, admission £5, children free, guide dogs only at Brisley, dogs on leads at Whissonsett. openstjohngardens.weebly.com
