My super 7
When it comes to putting on an event, Abbie Panks is something of an expert. Here she shares her Super 7 cultural picks
It’s a very busy time of the year for Abbie Panks. Not only has she taken on a new role in January, as centre manager of the Arc in Bury St Edmunds, it is the start of festival season – and she is closely involved with many of Norfolk’s most loved events. Abbie, who was manager of the Vancouver Quarter in King’s Lynn for seven years, is also event director at Creative Orchard, one of the team at The Fairyland Trust and helps run, and lives in,
the King’s Arms at Shouldham, as part of a community enterprise. Among the events she is involved in running are Festival Too, Folk in a Field and the enchanting Fairy Fair, happening this month at Bradmoor Woods. It attracts young fairies and elves from all over the country for two days of magic, wonder and fun. Here she shares some of her favourite cultural highlights as she prepares for a hectic spring and summer.
