Bijan Beigi talks about a non-invasive way of tackling unwanted cellulite

EDP Norfolk - - EDP NORFOLK MAGAZINE -

Bijan Beigi offers his expert opinion

Although a typical English summer means we can never predict what the weather will do, many of us look forward to turning off the heating and the prospect of warmer temperatures. However, there are some people for whom the prospect of wearing more revealing clothes or getting into a swimming costume is not appealing.

There are plenty of expressions to describe that unwanted fat around your midriff – mummy tummy, love handles, ab flab, back fat, saddle bags – but until now, it has been notoriously hard to shift.

Of course, diet and exercise are important in tackling these problem areas, but it is now possible to address body toning with a radiofrequency cellulite treatment called Velashape. The treatment is entirely non-invasive and uses four modalities for improvement of cellulite and body toning; bipolar radiofrequency for skin tightening, infra-red energies for shrinking fat cells, mechanical rollers and a vacuum suction to help with toning.

Velashape is the only technology currently on the market with all four modalities and can treat tummy, bottom and thighs so it is genuinely effective and offers a quick fix for stubborn cellulite.

The technology combines the infrared light, bi-polar radio frequency energy and vacuum, and works by deep heating the fat cells, their surrounding connective tissue and the underlying dermal collagen fibres. This type of efficient heating and vacuum stimulates the growth of new and better collagen and elastin which results in localised reduction in skin laxity, body volume, and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture.

Typically a course of 6-8 sessions is usually required with maintenance once every three to six months depending on the severity of the cellulite, and there is little to no downtime after treatments.

So whilst we all know that nothing can beat a healthy diet and exercise for feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin, with cutting edge technology it is also possible to deliver impressive results through treatment. So don’t suffer this summer – book a free consultation with one of our qualified therapists and get ready for the sun!
