Property: A beautiful period country cottage.
Location: Saxlingham Nethergate.
Favourite room: The upstairs sitting room, because of its lofty elevations, to the apex, the dramatic chimney breast, the oak plank flooring, from old ships’ timbers and all the period features.
Favourite item: The Rayburn, the heart of the house.
Favourite local shop: Crocks in Bungay and all the shops in Earsham Street, Bungay.
Favourite part of the county: The rolling countryside from Saxlingham Nethergate to Bungay.
Favourite day out: Norwich Cathedral, especially very early in the morning, and a visit to Southwold and to Adnams
Favourite interiors shop: Paula Gundry in Norwich; she has many interesting items.
Favourite walk: There are 11 miles of walks around this village and we love them all.
Favourite pub: The Wildebeest at Stoke Holy Cross; great fun.
Favourite restaurant: Stoke Mill at Stoke Holy Cross. It used to be the old Colman’s Mill.
Hobbies: Chris likes gardening and landscapes; Stephen enjoys cooking and theatre.
Most memorable moment in the county: Our civil ceremony at Dunston Hall, followed by [reception at] The Lodge at Saxthorpe.
