Favourite room: The up­stairs sit­ting room, be­cause of its lofty el­e­va­tions, to the apex, the dra­matic chim­ney breast, the oak plank floor­ing, from old ships’ tim­bers and all the pe­riod fea­tures.

Favourite item: The Ray­burn, the heart of the house.

Favourite lo­cal shop: Crocks in Bun­gay and all the shops in Ear­sham Street, Bun­gay.

Favourite part of the county: The rolling coun­try­side from Saxling­ham Nether­gate to Bun­gay.

Favourite day out: Nor­wich Cathe­dral, es­pe­cially very early in the morn­ing, and a visit to South­wold and to Ad­nams

Favourite in­te­ri­ors shop: Paula Gundry in Nor­wich; she has many in­ter­est­ing items.

Favourite walk: There are 11 miles of walks around this vil­lage and we love them all.

Favourite pub: The Wilde­beest at Stoke Holy Cross; great fun.

Favourite restau­rant: Stoke Mill at Stoke Holy Cross. It used to be the old Col­man’s Mill.

Hob­bies: Chris likes gardening and land­scapes; Stephen en­joys cook­ing and theatre.

Most mem­o­rable mo­ment in the county: Our civil cer­e­mony at Dun­ston Hall, fol­lowed by [re­cep­tion at] The Lodge at Sax­thorpe.
