Seeing the potential
Transforming a room in a new house can be a nerve-wracking prospect, but that’s exactly what Paula Gundry and her team of expert designers do best
Alarge part of what we do is inspiring our clients to see the potential in their home,” says Paula. “There are no limits to our imaginations, or to what we can do with a space.”
The team have just completed a media room at a period property in Norwich where they have been working on a total renovation of the house. Since meeting, the client and their family have been so
happy with the attention to detail shown by Paula and her team that they’ve enlisted their help for a whole host of changes. This has included a complete refurbishment of the spacious 8x6 metre lounge, and changes to the design and decoration of the hallway, staircase and two children’s rooms.
But it is the media room which has undergone one of the most radical transformations yet, using a range of beautifully designed, bespoke cabinet units - designed and manufactured in Norfolk - to transform a barely used cellar into
a fantastic and versatile space.
“The new media room has not only added value to the property but also created a functional living space for a busy family to enjoy,” says Paula. “We have encouraged our clients to use their imagination and turned their vision into a reality, listening to what they have wanted to do every step of the way - from initial inspiration to design and installation - and fine-tuning it to create a truly spectacular space that they love.
“The beautiful cabinetry used in the room matches that which is used in the living room, and incorporates plenty of storage space to create a seamless, stylish space. The whole family can snuggle up on the extra large bespoke media sofa together to watch their favourite film, and all of the media involved - from the television to the sound - can adapt as technology develops. Lovely, soft lighting completes the look and adds another dimension.”
