The third episode in the ex­pan­sion of Eric Snaith’s fish and chip em­pire opens in Holt, aptly enough in Fish Hill. Eric, whose famed Titch­well Manor is a few miles away, prom­ises that favourites from sis­ter restau­rants in Thorn­ham and St Ives will be on the menu at the new Holt site.

It will in­clude clas­sic cod and chips – lightly coated fish in house­made Green King IPA beer bat­ter and fried in tra­di­tional beef drip­ping (with veg­e­tar­ian and gluten-free al­ter­na­tives avail­able) – and bat­tered sausage, sourced from Din­g­ley Dell, a

high-wel­fare farm in Suf­folk. Other choices in­clude cod fish­cake with pars­ley salt and bat­tered king prawns.

If you have room for dessert Eric’s will be serv­ing ge­lato and sorbet in a range of flavours; mix and match and load up with sig­na­ture top­pings such as caramelise­d corn­flakes, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with East Coast Ge­lato.

Din­ers can en­joy Ses­sion Pale Ale, ex­clu­sively brewed for Eric by BrewBoard and a se­lec­tion of wines and cham­pagnes, home­made batch cock­tails and soft drinks.
