Singer Belinda Carlisle shares her cultural choices

She gained worldwide fame as the lead singer of The Go-Gos, one of the most successful all female bands ever, following it up with a string of solo hits around the globe.

Now Belinda Carlisle returns with two new albums and The Runaway Horses 30th Anniversary Tour, which arrives in Norfolk this month.

Growing up in California, her musical career started in the Hollywood punk scene in the 1970s with The Go-Gos, who became one of America’s biggest bands. She then enjoyed huge solo success, with hits including Heaven is a Place on Earth, I go weak and Leave a light on.

Her tour promises to be packed with all her biggest hits.

“I love the enthusiasm of British audiences. They’re not quiet or subdued. Every concert is a great exchange of energy.”
