AYLSHAM, November 29
Bring the family and enjoy an evening of festivities. The fun starts at 4pm, with games, crafts, street food, entertainment, an appearance from Santa and a Christmas market. At 6.30pm, ITV weather man Chris Page starts the countdown for the big switch on. 4pm – 8pm.
THETFORD, November 29 – December 1
Enjoy a weekend of festive fun in Thetford starting with the Christmas lights being illuminated on Friday 29, from 4pm to 7.30pm, then the Winter Wonderland celebrations continue over the weekend with live music, fairground rides, stalls, children’s entertainment, food, drink, a chance to spot Santa and plenty more. DOWNHAM MARKET, November 24
Gather in the town square from 2pm to soak up the festive atmosphere with entertainment, food and drink, a craft fair and much more, as everyone waits for darkness to fall and the countdown to the big Christmas light switch on begins.
NORWICH, November 14
The city’s streets come to a standstill for what has become one of the biggest events on the calendar. Watch as Norwich sparkles and shines against the wintry night sky with the big Christmas light switch on at City Hall at 7pm. Thousands of people gather to join in the celebrations, with live music, street entertainment, the arrival of Santa, food and drink, fireworks and plenty of surprises, so get there early. Head to Norwich Market Stall Sir Toby’s Beers, the city’s smallest bar, for a glass of warming Gluhwein, before watching the ever popular Tunnel of Light become illuminated for the first time.

GREAT YARMOUTH, November 29
Christmas in Great Yarmouth officially starts on November 29, when the festive lights are turned on in the market place at 7pm with a little bit of help from Santa. There will be entertainment throughout the evening, and it marks the start of the annual Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre. Festivities begin at 5pm and will end with a rooftop firework display after the big switch-on. gyta.com

NORTH WALSHAM, November 30
Thanks to a small team of volunteers the market town of North Walsham will once again
be illuminated with twinkling lights and a festive glow. There will be entertainment, stalls and food and drink throughout the afternoon before the lights are switched on at 6pm.

The Georgian market town is transformed into a magical wintry wonderland with the annual Christmas light switch on. Thousands of fairy lights illuminate the historic buildings, around windows, gables and roofs and in the trees. The big turn on is at 6.30pm. Enjoy shopping, food and drink and plenty of entertainment.
BURNHAM MARKET, November 23
Burnham Market’s village green and surrounding shops are transformed by pretty festive lights creating a magical scene. Enjoy traditional rides and entertainment, shopping, market stalls, carol singing, mulled wine and a visit from Santa.

CROMER, November 30
There will be festive celebrations across five days in Cromer, with a Christmas Tree and Nativity Festival, market stalls, entertainment and the Chtistmas light turn on, on Saturday November 30. Take part in the North Lodge Park Torchlight Procession at 4.30pm ahead of the grand switch on in the town centre. There will be torches and children’s candles on sale throughout the day at Cromer church, before everyone gathers in North Lodge Park, outside the Cromer Town Council office.
DISS, November 23.
Enjoy Christmas shopping, entertainment and festive food and drink as part of the grand switch-on of the town’s lights in the Market Place at 5.15pm. A brightly lit vintage fire engine from Bressingham Steam Museum will deliver Santa along Mere Street to the Diss Market Place ready for the illumination, who will be joined by the Diss Corn Hall panto cast. There will be entertainment from magician Ali Shazam, live music and a fair at Mere Mouth. 2.30pm- 6pm.
