BIRCHAM’S BROAD VIEW
Owned by Christopher and Deborah Harrison, Bircham Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in the centre of Holt. Now in its 31st year, Bircham Gallery exhibits all manner of media, from paintings and prints to ceramics, jewellery and sculpture and has developed an enviable reputation, presenting work by some of the finest British artists and craftspeople from East Anglia and beyond.
What can visitors and clients see at the moment?
Headlining our printmakers exhibition (January 11 to February 5) is Norfolk printmaker Nicholas Ward, whose detailed and miniscule etchings depict a lifetime’s appreciation of the disappearing industrial and agricultural life of Britain. We will also be showing prints in various media by Eleanor Havsteen-Franklin, Hilke MacIntyre, Bronwen Sleigh, James Dodds and Melvyn Evans.
What are you looking forward to this year at the gallery? Any key exhibitions?
We have an exciting year of exhibitions planned for 2020 including artistic duo Elaine Pamphilon and Christopher Marvell in March. Other artists exhibiting in 2020 include Peter Clayton in February. Peter enjoys working and experimenting in a wide variety of painting, drawing and print media.
