PORT ELIOT, CORN­WALL

The ec­cen­tric Grade I-listed house and grounds of Port Eliot (right) have been host­ing fes­ti­vals since the punk and folk mu­sic ‘Ele­phant fayre’ of the 1980s, and this year, the event has changed again un­der new di­rec­tor­ship. Along­side old favourites – swim­ming in the es­tu­ary and the lit­er­ary pub quiz – will be Anna Jones cook­ing in the vast Ge­or­gian kitchen, co­me­dian Robert Webb in con­ver­sa­tion and fash­ion col­lec­tor Daphne Guin­ness in­tro­duc­ing vis­i­tors to the new Fash­ion Foun­da­tion in the walled gar­den, which will hold work­shops, ex­hi­bi­tions and more. 26–29 July, day tick­ets from £62.50 (porte­liot­fes­ti­val.com).
