LIVERPOOL BIENNIAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART
2018 is the tenth year that this festival of contemporary art has been running, and it’s as ground-breaking and exciting as ever. The theme for this year’s ten weeks of artworks, special projects and programme of events is ‘Beautiful World, Where Are You?’, taken from the title of Friedrich Schiller’s 1788 German poem questioning uncertainty on planet Earth. As you’d expect, there are provocative works on show across the whole city, including at venues such as the space-age Metropolitan Cathedral, the dockside Tate Liverpool and RIBA North. 14 July–28 October ( biennial.com).
