Extra-large tiles are often used to recreate the look of expensive or tricky-to-maintain natural stones such as marble, but the ‘Storie’ collection by Zanellato/bortotto Studio for Cedit takes its cue from a different source. Looking to the walls of ageing buildings, the designers have created slabs replicating weathered paintwork and peeling plaster, evoking a sense of faded grandeur.
