HARBOUR VIEW
Wells-next-the-Sea, a town on Norfolk’s northern coast, is the setting for a new house designed by Cambridge-based Mole Architects. Drawing from the many textures of its surroundings, the two-storey building unites different materials, including white-painted flint and brick walls, pre-rusted steel louvres and an industrial steel staircase. The result is an eclectic design that resonates just as well with tar-painted sheds as it does with its neighbours. Known as Freeholders, the house is available for bookings (wellsholiday.com/ freeholders; molearchitects.co.uk).
