BURNING AMBITION

If you only know Diptyque for its luxurious candles, you are merely scratching the surface. Its founders – Christiane Montadre-Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet and Yves Coueslant – first found success in the 1960s with upholstery fabrics, and it’s this archive that has inspired the company’s first wallpaper collection. ‘Basile’ and ‘Boscage’ (pictured) are reminiscent of Diptyque’s packaging, but there are other colourful surprises, too.
