PALE & INTERESTING

-

Scandinavian interiors are known for their clean lines, functionality and soft palette but, far from feeling clinical, they have a warmth that comes from the use of wood throughout. Pale panelling can make minimalist schemes feel inviting, while helping smaller spaces appear bigger and brighter. Beech, ash, pine and plywood look modern and sit easily with neutral tones to create an open, airy aesthetic. As well as being lighter, they have fewer knots and a more subtle grain.
