ALEX FRANCO
@alexfrrranco
London-based photographer Alex feels most at home with nature in Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca: ‘There are mountains, trees, rocks – all by the Mediterranean Sea,’ he says. From documenting the lives of immigrants at the Calais Jungle to shooting for magazines including i-D and V, Alex’s portfolio of work is far more varied than your average fashion photographer. Already a conscious consumer, he’s well aware of the value of vintage shopping in a world obsessed with fast fashion. ‘The most-loved item in my wardrobe is a brown sheepskin jacket from the Seventies that I bought in a second-hand shop in Paris eight years ago.’ And his favourite memory of wearing it? ‘I have too many to pick just one.’
