What’s in the cosmos for your life and style this February

22 DEC – 19 JAN

CAPRICORN

You are the dominant sun sign until 2O January, so your transition into the new year will be rewarding. On 5 January, Mercury helps your communication skills, and you will reap rewards as the new moon encourages honesty and openness. Bring optimism into your wardrobe, too: Ports 1961 has the right (bright) idea.

2O JAN – 18 FEB

AQUARIUS

Mercury arrives in Aquarius on 24 January, bringing mischief and reminding you some rules are made to be broken. Mercury in this position encourages originality and rebellion, so don’t be surprised if you feel an urge to fight boredom. If you’ve ever been tempted to try something bold – a Matty Bovan hat, say – do it now.

19 FEB – 2O MARCH

PISCES

You will find that determination and effort work wonders this month. Capricorn, the sign of ambition, will continue to collude with Neptune throughout January, so now is the time to work towards your loftiest dreams. Try a little ‘outof-this-world’ fashion with Louis Vuitton’s SS19 futuristic planetary jackets. Go big, Pisces.

21 MARCH – 19 APRIL

ARIES

Good news, Aries: your new year will kick off with a burst of energy and confidence. On 1 January, Mars returns to your territory, boosting your lively spirit. Put that strident attitude to good use. You see the razor-sharp tailoring and metallics by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy? Give them a go. They’ll suit you.

2O APRIL – 2O MAY

TAURUS

Your ruling planet may frustrate you this month. Starting on 7 January, Venus is in cahoots with Sagittarius, a famously impulsive, flighty sign. Venus will only spur those qualities on. Look for ways to stay grounded and feel connected to your inner self. Might we suggest the refreshing palette and paillettes of Dries Van Noten.

21 MAY – 2O JUNE

GEMINI

Your ruling planet may push you this month, considering it will join Capricorn on 5 January. Given that you love routine and dependability, you won’t enjoy this at first, but it could improve your desire for organisation, and inspire important conversations at work. Utilitarian styles, such as Fendi’s, are a good fit for your mood.

21 JUNE – 22 JULY

CANCER

You will enjoy a great deal of growth — but also, perhaps, confusion — between 6 and 21 January. While the new moon in Capricorn may discourage you from chasing the spotlight, the later full moon in Leo will ask you to step into it. Work with those tensions: throw a little Molly Goddard frou into the everyday.

23 JULY – 22 AUG

LEO

A full moon will rise in your sign on 21 January, inspiring self-love. Prioritise what makes you happy: at work, enjoy revelling in your capability; at home, treat yourself to moments of calm. Since the full moon is also a lunar eclipse, balance is key. Mix ‘low brow’ (says who?) cycling shorts with a classic blazer, as at Chanel.

23 AUG – 22 SEPT

VIRGO

When Mercury enters Capricorn on 5 January, you will thrive, with an emphasis on productivity. But 24 January will prove more challenging, when Mercury enters Aquarius. So take advantage of those fruitful early weeks. Don’t shy away from a subversive take on everyday styles, like Versace’s wipe-clean pencil skirts.

23 SEPT – 22 OCT

LIBRA

Your sense of self will feel rattled on 21 January, as Venus in Sagittarius will be at odds with Neptune in Pisces. Side effects will include insecurity and uncertainty. Given that Librans don’t enjoy being thrown off balance, why not slip into something more comfortable? Balenciaga’s oversized shirts look inviting, don’t they?

23 OCT – 21 NOV

SCORPIO

Good news: your ruling planet is in Aries this month, and you will feel revitalised and powerful, especially on 25 January. Try those bold beauty looks from the SS19 shows: the glittering eyes at Valentino, the copper hair at Burberry, and extreme lashes at Prada. Sod it, have fun.

22 NOV – 21 DEC

SAGITTARIUS

This is an excellent month to embrace your basic instincts: adventure and curiosity. Sagittarians are naturally spontaneous, so when Venus comes to support you on 7 January, you won’t be able to resist a new romantic experience. If you’re not feeling flirty, there are always flippy kick-hems and frills, like those by Marc Jacobs.
