What’s in the cosmos for your life and style this April

19 FEB – 2O MARCH

PISCES

You have a hectic month ahead, Pisces. On 5 March, Mercury retrograde will have you craving attention; while the next day, a new moon in your sign will have you begging for solitude. Think you can’t dress for both? Wrong. Molly Goddard’s XL frocks are bold, while being big enough to hide behind.

21 MARCH – 19 APRIL

ARIES

When the Sun enters Aries on 2O March, it will feel like a rebirth. It could be the perfect opportunity to practise your least-favourite virtue (patience), or it may feel more fulfilling to focus pent-up energy on a dramatic style change. If you’re used to minimalist dressing, why not try wallpaper prints, like those by Louis Vuitton?

2O APRIL – 2O MAY

TAURUS

When Uranus enters Taurus on 6 March, stubbornness will prevail. This could be frustrating for the people in your life, but when you channel your persistence to accomplish a difficult task, this new energy can benefit you. You’ll want to rid yourself of distractions, so try light, palatecleansing hues like those by H&M.

21 MAY – 2O JUNE

GEMINI

This may feel like a slow month at first, but on 31 March, when Mars enters Gemini, change becomes more likely, making your affinity for adaptation more valuable. You could reflect that in your wardrobe with kick-hem midi skirts, like those by Loewe (because you might be adept at adapting, but that kick shows character).

21 JUNE – 22 JULY

CANCER

Just a few days into the month, a new moon in Pisces will reward quietness among the water signs. On 6 March, you may have an urge to spill your feelings, but try to focus on alone time. It’s tempting to speak up, but stay grounded. And if a pair of chunky Miu Miu platforms do the trick to distract you.

23 JULY – 22 AUG

LEO

On 21 March, your lucky planet will get an extra boost from Venus in Aquarius. You’ll feel magnetic – more so than usual. That being said, avoid engagements on 14 and 15 March – especially dates. You can always channel your charm by going big on Marc Jacobs-style frills and Valentino ruffles. You ol’ romantic, you.

23 AUG – 22 SEPT

VIRGO

Your persistence will strengthen when Uranus moves into Taurus’s domain on 6 March. This is rare, as Uranus only switches position every six years or so. Take advantage when you feel this surge of determination. Be bold. See those redhot satin car coats by Prada? That bold. You’re a siren, Virgo (may as well dress the part).

23 SEPT – 22 OCT

LIBRA

Step fearlessly into the spotlight on 4 February. The new moon in Aquarius will encourage self-assurance. As the only sign ruled by this particular celestial body, you will come alive when the sun sets and the moon renews itself. The time is right for the glittering, hedonistic glamour of SS19 Halpern. Step into it, Cancer.

23 OCT – 21 NOV

SCORPIO

Mercury retrograde begins on 5 March. This can make the world seem confusing, and your instinct will be to combat this with privacy, but armour up instead. We’re not saying crack out the King Arthur-style chainmail (although Paco Rabanne’s paillettes are close enough), but whatever it takes to help you weather this storm.

22 NOV – 21 DEC

SAGITTARIUS

You’ll encounter obstacles on 14 and 15 March, when the Sun and Mercury pick a fight with Jupiter in Sagittarius. With those planets at odds, your usual charm may not come so easily. Try the easy tailoring at Zara – its pastel suits feel relaxed, but still look like you mean business.

22 DEC – 19 JAN

CAPRICORN

It’ll be an antagonistic start to the month. On 1 March, Uranus in Aries will disrupt your rational approach to relationships. On 6 March, Uranus in Taurus will make you want to double down on any harmful things you said. When you begin your apology tour, look to The Row for lessons in dressing in a comforting style.

2O JAN – 18 FEB

AQUARIUS

From 1 March, Venus enters your domain. You’ll be feeling all ‘bright eyes and flushed lips’ when it comes to relationships, so do away with tradition and take a few risks. It’s a time to embrace an ‘all or nothing’ mindset – that’s your excuse to indulge your eccentricity with a bold dress (looking at you, Erdem).
