It’s a warm lateSeptem­ber morning, and we’re seated outside a café in New York City’s East Village. As the 33-year-old actor quietly excuses herself to clean up in the bathroom with a good-natured shrug, the feathered culprit dances around us. ‘It’s supposed to be good luck, right?’ she asks. Many will remember Mizuno as the bride in Crazy Rich Asians, which grossed £178.4 million worldwide at the box office, making it the highest-grossing romantic comedy of the past 1O years. Or perhaps you’ll recall her as the dancing best friend in the opening sequence of Damien Chazelle’s La La Land?
