This Arctic Circle hotel has 55 stilted cabins and five glasshouses hidden among the trees. Each cabin has a window wall and, while June’s midnight sun is a must-see, there’s nothing cosier than watching the Northern Lights dance across the sky (November to March), and there’s a good chance you’ll catch them. Tuscany’s a no-brainer for a romantic getaway: excellent food, wine on tap, dramatic scenery – it’s no wonder couples flock there. This gorgeous bolthole has one of the sexiest rooms I’ve stayed in. The hotel has a vintage-style perfumeria, so it’s filled with heavenly scents. With only two suites, it’s very intimate and you practically have the pool to yourself. The L’Epicerie Suite is the honeymoon hotspot, with twin baths and a four-poster bed surrounded by mirrors and marble. It couldn’t be any more romantic.
