AtGEFCO, we always cared about delivering the best solutions and services to our valued customers. Having this goal in mind, in the past two years, the Company searched to redefine itself and to share with each and every one of its partners a new identity based on GEFCO’S philosophy and vision: a trusted partner. Why are we different today? Because we created an innovative new culture called: “Infinite Proximity”. We aim to build long- lasting relationships through cooperation, to earn trust and to create more value in the supply chain. This is how we became “Partners, unlimited!”. “Partners” describes the cooperative mindset in which GEFCO builds relationships with its ecosystem based on proximity and shared growths and “unlimited” means that we are continually pushing boundaries in terms of expertise, geographical scope, sustainable growth, creativity and innovation.
Our common success story begun more than 15 years ago, when GEFCO started providing Ford inbound and outbound flows management and aftermarket services covering Europe, Russia and South America.
In 2012 started the collaboration between Ford Romania and GEFCO Romania with inbound flows management services and continued in 2016 with finished vehicles transport and distribution solutions. To best serve the customer’s needs, a logistic dedicated team was created in Craiova, in the proximity of Ford plant, to take fast actions when needed and to continuously improve our performance.

Last year Ford Romania reaffirmed the trust invested in us by granting GEFCO Romania new distribution flows for transporting the new Ecosport model. We operate Ford finished vehicles transports by train to Western European markets such as Germany, Italy and Benelux.
This new project became a reality due to an innovative solution provided by GEFCO Romania ordering in France new tailor-made wagons to match the new Ecosport model dimensions. The number of cars loaded on the platform has been also optimised and the flows of the customer were adapted to its production capacity.
Together we are also committed to sustaining the environment, by considering moving the freight, when it is possible, by rail instead of truck, lowering this way the greenhouse gas emissions. By reducing the number of trucks, we will improve the traffic safety and reduce the traffic congestions on the road.
