SEELE
German façade specialist seele in Asia
Founded in 1984 in Germany, seele has been realising complex building envelopes all over the world. Already the beginning of seele’s presence in Asia, around 20 years ago, was marked by prestigious projects like the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong.
Seele has established itself as the expert when it comes to turning bold façade concepts into reality: Spectacular designs such as the Apple Store in Singapore or the Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne represent the perfect realisation of the most exclusive architecture.
The utmost complex all-glass design on the luxury façades of the ICONSIAM shopping mall in Bangkok (opening fall 2018) fascinates with three- dimensionally arranged large glass formats up to 16 metres in a single piece. With this project, seele is setting the current technical benchmark for the use of glass as a structural element not only in Asia but globally.
Nowadays, there are two permanent seele subsidiaries, one in Hong Kong looking after the sales and operations in the North Asian markets and a second one in Singapore serving Southeast Asia and Australia.
Seele is proud having cooperated with DP Architects on one of the most intricate projects in Singapore. About DP Façade, an integral part of DP architects, Andreas Geyer, Managing Director of seele Singapore says “it’s always a pleasure to discuss and develop solutions with DP Façade for architectural visions that are challenging far beyond conventional techniques and methods. We both - DP Façade and seele – share the passion for creating lasting value”.
