Opening up KSA to the power of renewables
SAUDI ARABIA RENEWABLE
Energy - Solar & Wind 2019 is a two-day conference that is being hosted on 22-23 January, 2019 at Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This conference focuses on the future of renewable energy in Saudi Arabia with further discussions about technological enhancements, NEOM City, Oman’s Miraah Project, Masdar Initiative, prospective development sites, electric vehicle markets, and Dubai Clean Strategy 2050.
It also discusses the potential for growth of the Kingdom in regard to reducing carbon footprints. It is a platform to discuss and debate best practices which can be instrumental in maximising the power sourcing in the region.
Saudi Arabia has an impressive natural potential for solar and wind power, and the local energy consumption will increase threefold by 2030 – the country still lacks a competitive renewable energy sector at present. In the wake of these events, Bricsa Consulting has developed this agenda to bring renewable energy sector leaders across the globe under one roof and discuss various facets.
The Kingdom aims to review the legal and regulatory framework that allows the private sector to purchase and invest in the renewable energy sector. It also focuses to localise the energy industry and produce the necessary skill-sets for local resource development; they will also encourage public-private partnerships (PPP).
