WITH A SHAGGY Keanu Reeves taking on Russian gangsters over a cache of stolen diamonds, Siberia hints at being the perfect holdover until John Wick 3. instead, it has Reeves as a dodgy businessman, Lucas Hill, who embarks on a love affair with a Siberian café owner (Ularu), goes bear hunting with her burly brothers and, when shit gets real, leaves a few mildly admonishing voicemails for his business partner. The romance is at once seedy (Hill has a wife at home, whose name he’s told to shout during sex) and devoid of passion, which would almost be forgiveable if the overarching crime plot wasn’t so painfully dull. A dour, plodding experience that’s cold in every sense.
