Director Ciaran Cassidy cast Colleen Larose, Jamie Paulin Ramirez, Lars Vilks
Ostensibly, this is an account of how Colleen Larose achieved notoriety as ‘Jihad Jane’ after she exposed a 2009 conspiracy involving herself and Jamie Paulin Ramirez (aka ‘Jihad Jamie’) to murder Swedish artist Lars Vilks for drawing the Prophet’s head on a dog. In fact, Ciaran Cassidy indicts America for allowing vulnerable women to be sexually exploited, while also questioning why material that can shape the impressionable is so available online. It also challenges the methods of the US security services and the role the media plays in disseminating attitudes to the War On Terror. Terrifying, dispiriting and, at times, slyly satirical, this slickly edited documentary lays bare a world gone mad.
