HOW TO ENTER

Calling all actionmovie fans and gamers — fancy putting your passion into actual, real-life practice? Rumble Live, set in eight acres of lush woodland in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, sees you take on other teams, bolstered by ammo and special weapon upgrades found in utility boxes hidden around the terrain. Using laser rifles and grenades that track your progress, you can see how you did at the end at the ranger’s cabin, and with all that space, it’s ideal for a bit of socially distanced fun. We’ve got three sets of five passes to give away, so if you fancy giving your daily exercise an extra twist, crack the crossword, solve the anagram and text your answer to the number below. Game on!

Take the letters from each coloured square and rearrange them to form the name of an actor, actress, director or character. Text ‘EMPIRE’ to 83070, followed by your answer, name and address (with a space between each element of your message!). Texts cost 50p plus standard operator costs. Lines close at midnight, 28 SEPTEMBER. Winners are selected at random. See below for terms and conditions.

reservoir. I am doing it.

GITTES: There’s going to be a lot of irate citizens when they find out that they’re paying for water that they’re not going to get.

CROSS: Oh, that’s all taken care of. See, Mr Gittes, either you bring the water to LA, or you bring LA to the water.

GITTES: How you gonna do that?

CROSS: By incorporating the Valley into the city. Simple as that.

GITTES: How much are you worth?

CROSS: I have no idea. How much do you want?

GITTES: Nah, I just want to know what you’re worth. Over ten million?

CROSS: [laughing] Oh my, yes.

GITTES: Why are you doing it? How much better can you eat, what can you buy that you can’t already afford?

CROSS: The future, Mr Gittes. The future. Now, where’s the girl? I want the only daughter I’ve got left. As you found out, Evelyn was lost to me a long time ago.

GITTES: Who do you blame for that — her?

CROSS: I don’t blame myself. See, Mr Gittes, most people never have to face the fact that at the right time, in the right place, they’re capable of anything.

Cross looks off to his left.

CROSS: Claude… take those glasses from him, will ya?

Gittes sees that Claude Mulvihill (Roy Jenson), one of Cross’ heavies, has appeared. Gittes eyes Cross, contemplating action.

CROSS: Not worth it, Mr Gittes.

Claude produces a gun and holds it to Gittes’ head.

CROSS: It’s really not worth it.

Gittes hands back the glasses.
