1991
Bulgari marks a decade of its purpose-built watch facility in Switzerland; in the 100 years prior, watches were made in Italy.
1998
The striking, sporty Aluminium watch is launched, with a strap made of said metal and black rubber, and a black rubber bezel.
2004
In yellow or white gold, the Bulgari-Bulgari Grand Complication, an in-house first, has a transparent case-back for viewing the tourbillon.
2012
The Octo watch launches, fittingly, in Rome, where the circle and octagon central to the case design are mainstays of the ancient architecture.
2014
Two records broken by the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon: world’s thinnest tourbillon (1.95mm) and tourbillon watch (5mm).
2016
At Baselworld, the watch industry’s Cannes/ Comic Con, Bulgari reveals the Octo Finissimo, at 6.85mm the slimmest-ever minute repeater.
