Greg Moss
“I have always loved motorbikes, and been fascinated by road racing
in particular,” says the photographer, who shoots the North West 200, one of the fastest and most dangerous courses in the world. “The race has this perfect combination of the mundane and the bizarre — a residential road with 20 bikes tearing down it at 190mph. The best place to watch it is someone’s front garden, preferably with a cup of tea and sandwich in hand.”
Danny Kelly
“I’ve always admired Gary
Lineker,” says Kelly, a fellow broadcaster who profiles the footballer turned TV star turned social media voice of reason, “but I felt I should try and be as evenhanded as possible. Yet, in a world full of manufactured celebrities and vacuous tweeters, the truth that emerged from my pile of random thoughts is that we’re very lucky to have him. What started as a portrait ended up as a love letter.”
Simon Emmett
“He reminded me a lot of when I first worked with
Thierry Henry,” the photographer says of Paul Pogba. “Bit of a joker, can’t
take anything seriously, just wants to have a good
time. It was quite refreshing. He’s not prepping himself up to be a male model or anything,
he’s much more into taking the mickey out of himself.” One of our most cherished contributors,
Emmett’s work also appears in Vanity Fair and The New York Times.
