MAKE YOUR POINT

A sharp-collared blouson is your new summer jacket

-

Let’s be clear: a blouson is not the same as a bomber jacket. A blouson — so-called because the fabric “blouses” over the gathered waist hem — is defined by its looser fit and shirt-like collar. This season, blousons by every designer are everywhere but those hems have been squared off and the collars are pointier than normal. Many have matching shorts, but let’s cross that bridge if we come to it. For now, wear your pointy-blou (yep, sorry) with a loud print shirt tucked into tailored trousers.
