The home of the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera companies, The Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden has just completed its £50m makeover designed to “open up” the building — and art forms — to the public. You can now see into the glassy behemoth from the street outside, wander in for coffee or light bites all day long, and even enjoy some free performances.
