At half the size and the cost of the original 1994 PlayStation and pre-loaded with 20 old-school games (Final Fantasy
VII, Tekken 3…), the PlayStation Classic has all the makings of a Christmas hit. Further retro-tech releases include the return of the Nokia 8110 (aka the “banana” or “The Matrix” phone) in 4G form, and an updated Polaroid Originals OneStep+ instant camera. There’s also been a doubling of sales of pagers as well as eBay searches for Sony Walkmans (original cassette tape versions). Hipster fad for all things Nineties?
