Further retro-tech releases include the return of the Nokia 8110 (aka the “banana” or “The Matrix” phone) in 4G form, and an updated Polaroid Originals OneStep+ instant camera. There’s also been a doubling of sales of pagers as well as eBay searches for Sony Walkmans (original cassette tape versions). Hipster fad for all things Nineties? Or symptomati­c of a yearning to return to a time when the human race’s biggest fear was Dolly the sheep? You decide...
