Esquire’s content director straddles the worlds of editorial and commerce like a boundary-blurring colossus. For this issue, he spent much of his time in the John Fordian part of the US, driving the new McLaren supercar through Arizona for our Bulletin section, and then heading for higher ground, outside Denver, Colorado, for his story on the start-up bidding to bring back supersonic passenger flight, 50 years after Concorde first took off.
