Breitling Navitimer 806 1959 Re-Edition 41mm stainless steel case, black leather strap
Plenty of watchmakers have plundered its archives for inspiration in the last few years, but few have done it with such conviction and such impressive results as Breitling. The new Navitimer 806 1959 Re-Edition is as good as identical to its forebear — unveiled in 1959 and one of the most iconic pilot’s watches in its history — down to the plexiglass crystal and the number of beads in its beaded bezel. Now it comes powered by an in-house, COSC-certified hand-wound movement, developed especially for re-editions such as this. The closed case back is stamped with the watch’s number as the collection is limited to an appropriate 1,959 pieces. A new Breitling to add to that “most coveted” list. CT £6,520; breitling.com
