A model, a photographer and a pair of stylish spring lace-ups
Excerpts and out-takes from the pages of Esquire
Unlike those industries hit hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic — travel; hospitality; bricks and mortar retail; and the list, sadly, goes on — we at Esquire, and our colleagues in the magazine business, have been fortunate to be able to keep on doing what we do, albeit with restrictions. Words can be written anywhere, but the various lockdowns have made taking engaging photographs exceptionally challenging. Delayed by various roadblocks en route to the studio booked for the Collections fashion story in this issue, we managed to get model Babacar N’doye into a pair of Giorgio Armani lace-ups and in front of Virginie Khateeb’s lens in time for the end of the day, but only just. There wasn’t even time to lace them up… but why waste precious seconds when they look so sleek, untethered?
