Braxted Park will throw open its gates to the pub­lic for a fes­tive cel­e­bra­tion of lo­cal gift and food sup­pli­ers on De­cem­ber 1 and 2, at the in­au­gu­ral Braxted Park Christ­mas Mar­ket. This free to at­tend, two-day event is be­ing or­gan­ised in con­junc­tion with Mal­don Dis­trict Coun­cil’s Sense of Place Cam­paign and will cham­pion amaz­ing lo­cal busi­nesses and ar­ti­san pro­duc­ers.

There will be lo­cal food and drink avail­able to en­joy at the mar­ket, as well as wine and spirit tast­ings pro­vided by the team be­hind Mal­don Dis­trict Coun­cil’s Grape & Grain Trail. Younger vis­i­tors to the mar­ket will be able to visit Mrs Christ­mas’s Kitchen to dec­o­rate an ed­i­ble treat to take home and some of Fa­ther Christ­mas’s rein­deer will be pay­ing the es­tate a visit. Mu­sic comes from The Rock­a­bel­las, the Big Sing, Funky Voices Choir and a num­ber of school choirs. The Cook­ery School at Braxted Park will also be open for hands on work­shops with chef Tim Mad­dams (of River Cot­tage fame). Work­shop tick­ets are £10.
