CHRISTMAS AT BRAXTED PARK
Braxted Park will throw open its gates to the public for a festive celebration of local gift and food suppliers on December 1 and 2, at the inaugural Braxted Park Christmas Market. This free to attend, two-day event is being organised in conjunction with Maldon District Council’s Sense of Place Campaign and will champion amazing local businesses and artisan producers.
There will be local food and drink available to enjoy at the market, as well as wine and spirit tastings provided by the team behind Maldon District Council’s Grape & Grain Trail. Younger visitors to the market will be able to visit Mrs Christmas’s Kitchen to decorate an edible treat to take home and some of Father Christmas’s reindeer will be paying the estate a visit. Music comes from The Rockabellas, the Big Sing, Funky Voices Choir and a number of school choirs. The Cookery School at Braxted Park will also be open for hands on workshops with chef Tim Maddams (of River Cottage fame). Workshop tickets are £10.
