What the judges said:
This was a hotly contested award, with seven chefs presenting a menu of dishes, all cooked and presented on the same day at Braxted Park Cookery School. While there were fine margins between each of the fantastic entrants, it was Andi’s main course that set his menu apart and ultimately it was a unanimous decision by the judges to select him as the Chef of the Year.
What the winner said:
It means the world really! It’s a result of all the hard work over the years. It’s nice to win something as well for all of the people who have supported me over the years, like my family. It puts us on the map. People will want to come and hopefully try the food and hopefully business wise it will give us a boost. There is so much tough competition, you’ve got to take the opportunities when they come.
