from the first slice, of which there were almost too many to finish. After the filling duck dish, I wondered whether I’d fail my reputation as the girl who would always find room for a sweet. I needn’t have worried – the iced white chocolate parfait with mango and mint salsa was far too tempting. This dish, with the parfait shaped like a pear and mint on top surrounded by the chunky sauce, was so beautifully presented I stopped to take a picture. The taste brought back memories of summers past as the ripe mango with the white chocolate iced parfait tasted exactly like my favourite lolly as a child – a Solero. Knowing that the rewards of eating there stretch far beyond the four walls of the restaurant means that we’ll no doubt be back at the Foyer the next time we feel like a treat.
