ABERDEEN band Marionettes are to play a special in-store gig at One Up Records in support of their second EP on Saturday afternoon. My New Marionettes EP was released at the tail end of last year but was only previously available at the band’s shows. Packing some seriously catchy indiepop tunes, it is brilliant fun and the band can’t wait for the public to get their hands on it. Singer and guitarist Daryl Rankin said: “This is our first ever in-store and it’s a great opportunity for us to get our music out there to people who wouldn’t perhaps hear it otherwise. We recorded the EP a while ago, so we’re ready to hit the ground running and get it out there.” ON SATURDAY night, local grunge-rock band Which Way Now headline at The Moorings. And, of course, there’s always world domination!”
