The play is de­scribed as a tale of cut-throat com­pet­i­tive­ness and cor­po­rate greed, ex­pos­ing just how far peo­ple will go for the high­est-risk jobs. The ac­tor said: “This play is very top­i­cal as it ties in with the credit crunch and looks at cor­rupt bankers and traders. It’s a very in­ter­est­ing piece.” The cast also in­cludes Greg Gor­don from the Fly­ing Pigs, Shirley Tor­rie, Nicki Alexan­der, Jamie Drum­mond and 10-year-old Zach Davies. Al­though Present Tense has done a lot of se­ri­ous drama in the past, Rough Traders does have com­edy in it, said Matthew. “This one does have a lot of laughs al­though it does have gritty bits as well – it’s not for the faint­hearted.” Present Tense Theatre presents Roar­ing Trade at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, 7pm tonight and to­mor­row
