The play is described as a tale of cut-throat competitiveness and corporate greed, exposing just how far people will go for the highest-risk jobs. The actor said: “This play is very topical as it ties in with the credit crunch and looks at corrupt bankers and traders. It’s a very interesting piece.” The cast also includes Greg Gordon from the Flying Pigs, Shirley Torrie, Nicki Alexander, Jamie Drummond and 10-year-old Zach Davies. Although Present Tense has done a lot of serious drama in the past, Rough Traders does have comedy in it, said Matthew. “This one does have a lot of laughs although it does have gritty bits as well – it’s not for the fainthearted.” Present Tense Theatre presents Roaring Trade at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, 7pm tonight and tomorrow
