SATUR­DAY sees the launch of brand new club­night Loosen Up at Cel­lar 35. The monthly event is de­signed for mu­sic fans and will take in a great eclec­tic se­lec­tion of tunes, old and new. And at the helm will be none other than Lit­tle Kicks front­man Steven Milne, the DJ be­hind Snafu’s in­die disco night The Dirty Hearts Club. You can ex­pect to hear good in­die, disco, elec­tro, clas­sics, ran­dom 45s, pub­lic re­quests and a lit­tle bit of punk and funk thrown in for good mea­sure. And when it comes to artists, the playlist will fea­ture such di­verse acts as Foals, The Beach Boys, Rod Ste­wart, The Su­garhill Gang and Fleet­wood Mac. You can even make sure your favourite artist and tracks get played on the night by e-mail­ing your re­quests to steven­milne82 @hot­mail.com Or, why not bring along a CD or vinyl on the night and Steven will do his ut­most to play it for you?
