Organiser Georgia Thomson said: “The Teenage Cancer Trust doesn’t believe that teenagers have to stop being teenagers just because they have cancer.” FOLLOWING the recent sad news Snafu’s Dirty Hearts Club will close its doors at the end of August after a successful five years, organisers are determined to go out with a bang with a series of unforgettable gigs. Headlining next Thursday are Central Belt alt-pop-rock trio Paws. Support comes in the form of Edinburgh-based math-pop outfit Lady North, and Aberdeen’s own indie-rockers Devils Disco. Finishing off the evening with a special guest DJ set is Radio 1’s Ally McRae. ON FRIDAY, local hard-rock outfit Cheyenne Plains appear in The Moorings Bar. Having recently been featured by STV in their coverage of the nowcancelled Northern Lights Festival, this is sure to be a great gig as Aberdeen’s rock fans are set to turn out in force.
