Or­gan­iser Ge­or­gia Thom­son said: “The Teenage Cancer Trust doesn’t be­lieve that teenagers have to stop be­ing teenagers just be­cause they have cancer.” FOL­LOW­ING the re­cent sad news Snafu’s Dirty Hearts Club will close its doors at the end of Au­gust af­ter a suc­cess­ful five years, or­gan­is­ers are de­ter­mined to go out with a bang with a se­ries of un­for­get­table gigs. Head­lin­ing next Thurs­day are Cen­tral Belt alt-pop-rock trio Paws. Sup­port comes in the form of Edinburgh-based math-pop out­fit Lady North, and Aberdeen’s own in­die-rock­ers Devils Disco. Fin­ish­ing off the evening with a spe­cial guest DJ set is Ra­dio 1’s Ally McRae. ON FRI­DAY, lo­cal hard-rock out­fit Cheyenne Plains ap­pear in The Moor­ings Bar. Hav­ing re­cently been fea­tured by STV in their cov­er­age of the now­can­celled North­ern Lights Fes­ti­val, this is sure to be a great gig as Aberdeen’s rock fans are set to turn out in force.
