Overnight closure for road

Evening Express (City Final) - - News -

THE A90 between Aberdeen and Peterhead was closed at the Ellon bypass for an extra night for the road surface to be upgraded. The stretch was closed from 7.30pm yesterday to 6.30am today, as part of the £250,000 work. Originally, the work was hoped to be completed by yesterday morning after being closed since Friday night, but a delay in the delivery of asphalt on site meant it had to be delayed by an extra night. The road had previously been closed over a weekend in September as part of the work. Andy Thompson from Bear Scotland said: “These £250,000 works are part of a larger maintenance project which also saw work on this section of the A90 completed last month. “The project has been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A90 for motorists. “To keep everyone safe during the project, a road closure is necessary during these improvements.”
