Un­paid work over as­saults

A MAN has been handed un­paid work af­ter as­sault­ing three peo­ple. Adam Drum­mond, 32, ap­peared at Aberdeen Sher­iff Court for sen­tenc­ing hav­ing pre­vi­ously pled guilty to three as­saults on July 19 at Mar­ket Square in Stone­haven. Fis­cal de­pute Gavin Let­ford said at 2.20am Drum­mond ap­proached two women and a man and “swung a closed fist”, fail­ing to con­nect with two of them but hit­ting one woman in the jaw. De­fence agent Ross Tag­gart said the com­plain­ers had been in­volved in an in­ci­dent with Drum­mond’s part­ner. Sher­iff Gra­ham Buchanan gave Drum­mond, of Brick­field Road, Stone­haven, 210 hours of un­paid work.
