NORTH-EAST rail passengers are set for another day of disruption. Trains were hit by delays across the country over the weekend, and Scotrail predicts the disruption will continue today. The provider said a timetable change caused the delays, as staff “require a significant amount of training” and would not be available to crew trains. Over the weekend, commuters on two services between Glasgow Queen Street and Perth and Aberdeen were forced on to alternative transport over the weekend. Crew shortages are predicted to affect the 10.41am and 1.37pm from Glasgow, and the 3.33pm train has been axed. Train faults have also affected services from Edinburgh Haymarket to Aberdeen, meaning trains will be formed of three coaches as opposed to six.
