Pair set for best of home na­tions

STONE­HAVEN bad­minton pair Sean Leith and Ja­cob Reynolds were rep­re­sent­ing Scot­land this week­end.

The Mackie Academy duo will fea­ture in a quadrangular tour­na­ment at the Na­tional Bad­minton Cen­tre in Mil­ton Keynes.

Sean and Ja­cob will face teams from Eng­land, Wales and Ire­land.

The pair have both emerged through the Aberdeen­shire per­for­mance squads.

Aberdeen­shire bad­minton de­vel­op­ment of­fi­cer Joan Prieur said: “It is great to see these ath­letes re­warded for their hard work and ef­fort over the past five years.

“Both Ja­cob and Sean con­tinue to train lo­cally as well as trav­el­ling to Glas­gow on a weekly ba­sis to at­tend the Scot­tish squad train­ing.

“The boys have earned their place among the nation’s finest.

“I am sure they will per­form at their best over the week­end at a high stan­dard of competition.”
