Alleged rape victim denies theft
AN ALLEGED rape victim denied she stole her attacker’s wallet, a court has heard.
The woman, who is in her 30s, told the High Court in Aberdeen she had no reason to steal money on the night of the alleged incident.
Jaroslaw Naczas, 20, is alleged to have attacked the woman in Aberdeen’s harbour area in July last year.
The woman, who had been working as a prostitute at the time, said: “I had been given money. I didn’t need to steal it.”
Naczas, whose address was listed as 4B Loirston Place, Aberdeen, denies dragging the woman underneath a lorry and raping her, attempting to murder her and robbing her of a mobile phone, a handbag and cash on the city’s Links Road. The trial continues.
