Scrappage scheme for old boilers
PEOPLE in the North-east are to get another chance to get a new boiler and save more than £190 a year on fuel bills.
The third round of the Scottish Government’s scrappage scheme has started and households with poor performing, old boilers can apply for money to help them buy a new model.
It is believed about 6,000 homes across Scotland could benefit from the cash, but the £2.5m funding is on a first-come first-serve basis.
The last scheme, run last year ran out of cash within 36 hours of being launched.
